Title: “Traditional Blacksmithing to Modern Computer Controlled Hammers and Hybrid Processing”
Abstract: An overview of traditional forging methods will be reviewed, including the pros and cons. Introduction of Industry-4.0 approaches for computer controlled hammers, modeling and simulation for location-specific component design and hybrid approaches to enable more efficient methods for future component manufacture will be discussed.
